Current Make Up Favourites
This month I have had a little change up with my make up and I've done a little shopping. All of the products I'm about to mention are all drugstore products and are readily available, but for me they have high end results!
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Notting Hill Nude
I have quite pale skin and so I have always stayed clear of peachy/beige nudes that would only suit a darker toned skin. But recently I was feeling adventurous and tried one of the dreaded beige shades, that I love so much but could never wear...until now!! Notting Hill Nude for some reason looks good against my pale skin, its a lovely neutral colour that isn't pinky but slightly orangey, looks perfect with a bold eye look for the summer months.
L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Primer
I always go to the L'Oreal make up stand and stick my finger into this primer because it is simply so soft, and I finally managed to purchase it. Its so smoothing and thick but blends beautifully onto the skin to allow your foundation/BB/CC cream to be applied evenly and keeps your make up on all day.
Revlon ColourStay Foundation in Luminous Buff
Again this is another product that I never thought I would be able to wear. The Luminous version of this foundation is targeted for dry skin which I don't have but I decided to go to this one because of the consistent shimmer that goes through the formula, its beautiful. My skin looks glowy and dewy but never gets greasy (even though I have a very greasy Tzone). Its stays on all day and Buff is the absolute perfect colour for my skin, a must buy!
Topshop Highlighter in Horizon
This was a gorgeous find and so creamy, perfect for the top of your cheekbones in order to create a summer bronzed look.
Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve
I have only recently discovered the Topshop beauty range and I love it! It is so much more than I expected. This contour cream is very creamy, easily bendable and is not to orange. It is the perfect colour for pale/neutral toned skin and it makes it really easy to create a natural contoured look.
Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Mask
Okay, so I know this isn't a make up product but I had to include it. Firstly, this mask is only £2.59!!! Secondly it is amazing! its so smoothing and really helps my skin retain moisture. Its not only for dry skin either, this mask is perfect for all skin types and really helps to smooth out and moisturise your skin.
I hope this has inspired you to go try some make up you never thought would suit you...you never know! Ruby x
